Michigan is an excellent spot to go fishing because it is located in the Great Lakes region, is bordered by four lakes, and has 3,288 miles of shoreline. Lake Superior’s magnificent coastlines are a picturesque scene of waterfalls, rivers, and forests, and more than 40% of Michigan is covered in water. The state boasts the United States’ longest freshwater shoreline. The Upper Peninsula is densely forested, and forestry is a significant business. Michigan is also an apple-growing state, with more apples used in pies than any other state in the US, and it also the birthplace of Corn Flakes.
Local entrepreneurs such as R.E. Olds, Henry Ford, David Buick, Walter P. Chrysler, and Henry Leland invented unique strategies for creating the first autos, paving the way for mass production of automobiles in the 19th century. Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Serena Williams, Henry Ford, and Madonna are all famous Michigan natives.
